Goldman and Associates, Inc., has strengths in many areas.
The organization has developed creative approaches to providing
employment planning and community employment services to a
diverse and challenging population of adults in its community.
Services are provided in a very effective and efficient manner.
The organization has strong leadership and placement staff
members with extensive experience in employment programs.
They function well as a team and support each other to provide
impressive placement services to persons served with all levels
of challenges.
The organization is recognized for its employee feedback
system that encourages regular contact with employees and
for its use of priority outcomes in its performance evaluation
process.
The quality of service enhances the lives of persons served
through identifying realistic employment and socialization
goals, pursuing appropriate training, and achieving community
integration dreams.
The needs of persons who are deaf or hard of hearing are
particularly addressed by staff member who is fluent in American
Sign Language.
Persons service expressed considerable satisfaction with
the services provided by the organization. Person-centered
services and responsiveness to individual needs were apparent
when talking with the individuals and their family members.
Employers utilizing the job placement services express high
levels of satisfaction with the job development process and
hte follow-up and problem solving provided by job coaches.
The organization enjoys and excellent reputation among referral
and funding sources. It is described as flexible, reliable,
and willing to accept challenging individuals. Diversity and
quality of persons served was particularly noted.
The organization works cooperatively with other agencies
and utilizes considerable resources available in the community
to meet individual needs.
On balance, Goldman and Associates provides outstanding services
to adults with disabilities through planning for and placing
them in diverse and stable jobs in the community. Families,
employers, and funding sources express considerable satisfaction
with the services provided. The organization has willingly embraced
the continuous improvement philosophy espoused by CARF and has
committed significant efforts to demonstrate conformance to
the standards at this initial survey.

THe leadership and staff members of the organization are congratulated
for their creativity, commitment to quality, and teamwork approach.
The organization is encouraged to prepare for its planned growth
by expanding and formalizing systems and creating forms and
methods of communication and are less necessary in a small operation
but essential in a growing, larger one. The organization is
encouraged to retain its collegial environment as it implements
further plans to enhance quality and success and to meet the
challenges of the future.
